8 Day Southern Circuit

Day 1: Arrive at Dar es Salaam International Airport. You will be met by your guide and escorted to your hotel in Dar es Salaam.
 

Day 2: Depart Dar es Salaam after breakfast and make your way towards Saadani National Park on the Indian Ocean for a day of game viewing. The park is home to 4 of the big five species; lion, elephant, buffalo, and leopard. 
 

Day 3: Wake early for a morning viewing of the animals in Saadani National Park. Be on the lookout for hippo and crocodiles basking by the water. Depart Saadani after lunch and drive to Mikumi National Park. 
 

Day 4: Set off for a full day of exploring in Mikumi National Park. This highly protected national park is home to many species of animals including giraffe, zebra, eland, and kudu.

Day 5: Drive through Mikumi National Park for morning game drives, making your way to Selous Game Reserve by evening. 

Day 6: Take a full day game drive through Selous Game Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Animals can be found in larger numbers here than in any other game reserve or national park in Tanzania.
 

Day 7: Another day of exploring the amazing sights in Selous Game Reserve. Be sure to stop by the Rufiji River, an excellent spot for photographs.

Day 8: Depart Selous Game Reserve after breakfast and drive to Dar es Salaam where your guide will escort you to the Dar es Salaam International Airport for your departure flight.

14 Day Southern Circuti

 

Day 1: Arrive at Dar es Salaam International Airport. You will be met by your guide and escorted to your hotel in Dar es Salaam.
 

Day 2: Depart Dar es Salaam after breakfast and make your way towards Mikumi National Park. You will view the sights of Tanzania as you drive through the town of Morogoro.
 

Day 3: Set off for a day of exploring in Mikumi National Park. This highly protected national park is home to many species of animals including giraffe, zebra, eland, and kudu.
 

Day 4: Begin your day early as you drive from Mikumi National Park to Ruaha National Park. As you drive, you will pass through many small local villages and the larger town of Iringa.
 

Day 5: Spend your day on a game drive through Ruaha Naional Park. Visit the Great Ruaha River and expect to see crocodiles, hippos, and elephants bathing.
 

Day 6: Prepare for another day of wildlife viewing in Ruaha Naional Park. Let’s see how many of the 500+ species of birds you can spot!
 

Day 7: Depart Ruaha National Park after breakfast and begin your journey to the Udzungwa Mountains.
 

Day 8: After breakfast, you will enter the Udzungwa National Park and meet up with a park ranger for a hike up to Sanje Waterfalls. On the walk, you will spot colobus and blue monkeys while taking in magnificent views.
 

Day 9: Depart after breakfast and drive to Selous Game Reserve.

Day 10: Take a full day game drive through Selous Game Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Animals can be found in larger numbers here than in any other game reserve or national park in Tanzania.
 

Day 11: Another day of exploring the amazing sights in Selous Game Reserve. Be sure to stop by the Rufiji River, an excellent spot for photographs.
 

Day 12: Depart Selous Game Reserve and begin your drive to the town of Bagamoyo on the Indian Ocean.
 

Day 13: Spend your day exploring the town of Bagamoyo and relaxing on the beautiful beaches of the Indian Ocean.
 

Day 14: Depart Bagamoyo after breakfast and drive to Dar es Salaam where your guide will escort you to the Dar es Salaam International Airport for your departure flight.
